The Loudon County Sheriff’s Office is proud to partner with the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development through the Tablet Employment and Reentry Pilot Project. Using secure jail tablets provided through Orijin, inmates at the Loudon County Detention Facility were given access to industry recognized training courses and certificates designed to help prepare them for successful employment and reentry into society. The program offered extensive self paced coursework in Manufacturing, Industrial, Vocational, and Digital/IT career fields.

From January through April 2026, nine different participants completed a total of ten courses while dedicating significant time and effort toward their education and future career development. Several of the inmates involved in the program were released from custody before finishing their coursework, but were able to continue participating after release in order to complete their training. The entire program was provided at no cost to Loudon County and funded by the state of Tennessee.

Programs like this help create opportunities for long-term success by encouraging education, job readiness, and personal growth. The Loudon County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to supporting initiatives that improve reentry outcomes and strengthen our community.
