The Loudon County Sheriff’s Office is both proud and a little sad to announce that Chief Deputy Zac Frye will be leaving our agency. Chief Frye recently returned from deployment in the Middle East with the 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment, and because of his outstanding performance while deployed, he was offered and accepted a highly sought after full-time Active Guard Reserve position.

This morning, Chief Frye made a formal announcement to members of the Sheriff’s Office, personally speaking to nearly everyone to share the news.

While we hate to see him go, we are excited for this next step in his Army career and grateful for the years of leadership, service, and dedication he has given to our office and community.

Sheriff Jimmy Davis shared, “Chief Frye has been a tremendous leader, mentor, and friend to many of us. His professionalism and steady guidance have made a lasting impact on this office, and he will be deeply missed. We are proud of his service here at home and his service to our country.”

We wish Chief Frye nothing but success as he continues serving our nation in this new role. His replacement here at LCSO will be announced soon, but today we celebrate and honor the service and commitment of Chief Deputy Zac Frye.
